Four diverse releases and a busy touring schedule: Paulaa smashed her debut year…
We can’t quite believe it has been a whole year since Paulaa blew us away with her spine-tingling debut single ‘Commit’. Unsurprisingly, this track caught the attention of a plethora of media outlets and earned her a loyal fan base early on.
The London-based songwriter didn’t keep us waiting long for her second single ‘All These Stories’ which she released in March. This single provided us more of an insight into her influences compared to its predecessor. Different vocal quality and instrumental texture demonstrated her immense versatility. If you weren’t convinced by ‘Commit’, this release was sure to be the clincher.
It wasn’t until July, however, that Paulaa’s life as singer-songwriter got into full swing. The month began with her third release, the atmospheric ‘Fall In’. This chilled out track was different again, leading us to question: is there anything Paulaa can’t do? Soon after this release, it was the moment we’d all been waiting for; Paulaa released her debut EP Fall In, which of course received plenty of media attention.
Paulaa’s EP release also kicked off her touring schedule for the rest of the year, playing at the usual suspects around London including The Century Club, The Waiting Room, Notting Hill Arts Club and Sofar Sounds.
We’ve loved watching Paulaa flourish over the past year, and we cannot wait to see what she has in store for us in 2019! (More music and UK tour, please!)
So how was the last year from Paulaa’s perspective? “Since ‘Commit’ I released my debut EP ‘Fall In’, where the title track was premiered on The Line Of Best Fit. I’ve performed in various places such as; Omeara, Sofar Sounds, Notting Hill Art’s Club. I really love sharing these songs live and I’m really grateful for all the support I’ve received so far. In the last months, I’ve also been in the studio working on new material, which I’m so looking forward to releasing.”
