Hey! First and foremost we want to express our love for your bootlegs! Especially the recent London Grammar one – what’s been your favourite so far?

Woop Woop! Thanks! My fav was probably… ‘Show Me Love’, by the Wanted! One of the first bootlegs I did like, 4 years ago. It’ss super tasty. I’ll release again at some point!

You have a BIG show at London’s Heaven coming on the 6th October, have you got anything special planned for the show?

Just good times, tasty beats, good songs, smiles and lots of sweating.

You just played in Kazakhstan! A rare gig location, if you could play anywhere in the world, where would it be?

TOKYO! I wanna go SO bad.

What’s next for Youngr, post summer and post the Heaven show?

Music, music, music… Constant releases, more bootlegs, and HOPEFULLY a collection of them all in February… I think the ancient word is ‘Album’ but I’m not sure how you pronounce it… It might be a silent ‘b’.

You’re playing at Barn on the Farm Festival next week, looking forward to it?

Nahhhh… Of course, I have only heard great things about it!

Is there anyone you’re particularly excited to see at Barn on the Farm Festival?

Clean cut kid! Those guys fucking rule. And Dagny. Lovely Scandi-pop.

If you could collaborate with any artist on the lineup, who would it be and why?

Zac Abel. Because of his incredible ping pong skills.

What can people expect from your BOTF set? Any new material appearances?

I’ll be jamming my single that comes out next week ’93. It’ll feel good to finally play that and it be out. And some tasty new bootlegs I think.

How does playing festivals compare to your own gigs? Do you have a preference?

Errrrrm… You never know what’s gonna happen at a festival, I kinda like how rogue they can be. You can get too comfortable doing your own shows… Soundchecks and merch and loyal, dedicated fans… Boring!ha. Joking. However… There is something exciting about the unpredictability of a festival.

Have you got many other festival appearances planned for us to get excited about?

Fieldview Festival is always a good’un.

What are your top festival survival tips?

Dental floss and condoms.

And finally, for those lucky enough to be going to BOTF fest, in a few words, why should they come see you play? Think of this as new music speed dating, no pressure, 30 seconds, GO.

We’ll have monkeys in cages (there by their own free will), clowns on stilts, fire eaters on either side of the stage, beautiful women and beautiful men walking around handing out free drinks, free BBQ and vegetarian food served in the intermission, and free hugs at the end. Come to the show!

Catch Youngr at the Outdoor Stage this Sunday, at Barn on the Farm, tickets and more info here.
