We’re big fans of pop here at Born Music, especially when it’s crafted flawlessly and offers a unique twist on top. So, introducing you to Chloé Gisele is a no-brainer.
That said, she’s quick not to define herself with just one genre, “I want to keep my sound open to new things, but I’d like to go towards the Urban Pop genre” she explains, adding “with a twist though!”
Chloe is all about contrasts, revealing that one day she can be in the studio or at a stage somewhere and the next she could be in the wilderness on a hike somewhere. “During the spring I went on a four-week trek to Mount Everest Base Camp and I didn’t shower during those weeks” she reveals, adding “I am not afraid to get my hands dirty, even though some people would assume that I’m the complete opposite.”
“I love contrasts and I love to challenge myself!”
Her debut effort ‘Whine Up’ has had an overwhelming response online and otherwise. “To have reached more than 750,000 streams on Spotify is surreal” Chloé tells us. “I try not to think about the success too much, I’d rather get my hands on the next project so I don’t get too comfortable and settle.”
A track about not taking life too seriously, it has clearly resonated with a lot of people. Reflecting Chloé’s feelings about giving people and events second chances, she is a firm believer that it is never too late to start over, ‘Whine Up’ is a reminder of that.
“I strive to not become a “one hit wonder”, therefore I’m continually in the studio working on some new material”
It was a close call between ‘Whine Up’ and another song that Chloé had actually written first as to what would be that important debut single… ‘Whine Up’, thanks to its summery vibe, won however and now looking forward Chloé wants the majority of songs on any EP or album to be of high enough quality for the radio. No pressure, ehy?
All fingers are crossed for a potential new track coming our way in the next few months, but with a debut single as good as ‘Whine Up’, it’s fair to say our expectations are super high.
