For the first time ever, Manchester’s multi-venue Off The Record festival has announced the line-up ahead of the event.
Championed by three of the UK’s premiere independent music festivals, Kendal Calling, Sound City and Bluedot, and with a hand-picked line-up from trusted curators Rob Da Bank, Everything Everything, Fickle Friends, The Orielles, Huw Stephens and more, Off The Record features a new-music-friendly line-up like no other, full of new faces and – would you believe – Born Music household names.
With a “huge focus on the undiscovered,” Off The Record provides a platform for new and emerging talent to test their mettle amongst new music fans and music-businesses alike, with day-time talks by key speakers from labels, A&R and publishing.
The first wave of the line-up welcomes Leeds scuzz-masters Fizzy Blood, post-punk new wavers The Ninth Wave and Chester power trio Peaness alongside Giant Boys, Paris Youth Foundation and many, many more.
Amongst their hand-picked artists and bands, Curators Everything Everything will also be performing a live DJ set:
“Off The Record’s clever remit captures artists at a very special, vivid and all-too-brief point in their careers. It’s our pleasure to be involved, and to give a platform to a group of acts we’ve encountered that find themselves in this enviable position.”
Manchesters Low Four studios – a branch of the legendary Old Granada Studios – also join the festival as curators, a platform dead-set on championing new artists and talent from the Manchester area.
