The Rhythm Method
Think of a 2016 The Streets meet The Pet Shop Boys and you’ll be along the right lines of what you get from The Rhythm Method.
Their lyrical content is about as real as it gets, they pride themselves in being able to fully encapsulate the glitz of the mundane, average life in an infectious and danceable way.
They’re humorous, somehow insatiably charming and they’re creeping up on everyone, sliding in and firmly planting their feet on your sofas, with a cuppa, watching some corrie.
Girli is quite literally a whirlwind of girl power and complete organised chaos. She’s young, full of life, attitude and colour and she’s spreading it around like wildfire, she raps, sings, produces and does a whole lot more.
If you’re not already insanely impressed (though we have no idea why you wouldn’t be) don’t make a mistake and miss a golden opportunity to see some high calibre talent for yourself.
Whether you like her music or not, you can be sure to get one hell of a show.
Hailing from Liverpool, Louis Berry is making very real music; you won’t find any sunshine, rainbows and unicorns floating around his tracks… but is that really a bad thing?
He’s taken real life issues, for instance, poverty, crime and more and made them listenable, he’s provoking a thought process that many of us ignore on a day-to-day basis.
His vocals are soothing, yet rough, there’s a lot of wisdom that would normally be beyond his years, but here it is seeping through his raspy tones and into his music.
This four piece band from Westmeath, Ireland have been steadily going from strength to strength since the release of their debut EP ‘Loose Friends’ late last year.
You may have already heard absolute tunes, ‘Different’ and more recently their online hit ‘Mixtape 2003 and if you have then you’ll already know that there’s massive amounts of potential for greatness here and you can be sure that they’re not going anywhere anytime soon.
This South London four-piece are musically enticing, they create a magical and mysterious shoegaze, alternative grunge sound with hints and infusions of infectious pop that suck you in and most definitely do not let you go.
Their debut track ‘Regeneration’ saw them come on to the scene in a big way, since then they’ve continued to provide us with tracks that are steadily topping the last and proving that they’re serious about their music and honing their sound to be the best that it can possibly be. They’re on a focussed and driven journey and it’ll be incredibly surprising if their destination is anything short of massive.
