Middlesbrough’s fantastic multi-venue festival is fast approaching! With some of the most exciting small bands already announced, October 7th is a date that should be in every fans music diary.

Here are a few that you should definitely not miss.

Eat Fast

Eat Fast! Terrible advice, but a fantastic band. These guys have been releasing some brilliantly aggressive, hazy and catchy stuff for a while now, and if you haven’t seen them perform live yet, Twisterella is a golden opportunity.

The Old Pink House

We’ve been following The Old Pink House for a while now and the Newcastle four piece have more than cemented themselves as one of the best small bands. Their glamorous psych pop sound should be a wonder to behold live.

Desperate Journalist

Desperate Journalist will also be there! The London post punkers will be performing tracks from their recent brilliant album ‘Grow Up’, which we thought was “reminiscent of tracks from The Cure’s Disintegration, but with a rougher, more vicious bite.”

The Ninth Wave

Glasgow goth poppers The Ninth Wave will also be a highlight at the multi venue festival. With their dramatic yet catchy new wave revival sound, the group have been ones to watch out for for a while. With songs like ‘Reformation’ and the recently ‘Liars’, they cannot be missed at this year’s Twisterella.
