Truck Festival, The Godfather of small festivals, is coming up in just a few days and we couldn’t be more excited. As the only festival to have banned both selfie sticks and Katie Hopkins, you know they have your best interests at heart. This year, as always, is looking fantastic so we’ve made a list of all the best things to do at the festival.

The Music!

The main draw to the festival is the sheer wealth of new musical goodness. Banfi, Dream Wife, Francobollo, Palm Honey, Blackwaters and more all represent the vanguard of the most enthralling pop and indie across all the main stages. There’s the BIMM curated Barn stage headlined by High Tyde, Get Inuit and The Orielles. There’s The Nest, curated by So Young, Alcopop! and Big Scary Monsters and of course, there’s the fantastic Truck and Market stages, where you can see everyone from up and comers Bloxx to the legendary Libertines.

Mr. Motivator

Kicking off the Saturday, to a crowd of eager, yet hungover festival goers, the one and only Mr. Motivator is there to get you feeling alive again, ready for a full day of great music. The GMTV fitness icon’s festival-tested workout is sure to be a unique, memorable, fun and healthy experience.

The Nighthawk Cinema

If for some reason you’re not attending the consistently wonderful music stages, we would strongly recommend the Nighthawk Cinema. Here, you can bask in the flawless nostalgia of Wayne’s World, Clueless, Cool Runnings, all three Toy Stories (!!) and more as well as a whole host of modern classics like the heartbreakingly beautiful UP and the stylish La La Land.

The Dancing!

Palm City, “a long spoken of, ancient gathering place of nomads, free people and long lost wanderers” is one of the most exciting things about Truck. With the Friday night headlined by certified coolest man alive Idris Elba and closed on the Sunday by an unannounced “Special Guest”, the stage will be filled with the best DJs and dance music around. PLUS! After the bands finish up on the Market stage, Switch curated DJ sets on the Friday and Saturday should definitely get you in the mood to boogie. Then on the Sunday, you can go see Jaguar Skills closing the festival in style.
