The Tin Pigeons have had a jam-packed year, since the release of ‘Wild’ including eight festivals, three tours and five single releases. Do they ever sleep?

One whole year ago, we premiered The Tin Pigeons’ summery, feel-good track ‘Wild’, and what a year they have had! By July, ‘Wild’ was featured on Spotify’s The Indie List playlist earning them some well-deserved publicity. Over the summer of 2017, they appeared at numerous festivals including El Dorado, Standon Calling, Simon Says and Hellatonfest. In between these dates, they also performed at Mama Liz’s in Stamford, The Cookie in Leicester and Thousand Island in London supporting highly popular afro-rock trio Cassia.

October saw the band embark on a mini tour playing in Lincoln, Leicester and London ready for the release of their next single ‘Home’ which received a spin from BBC Introducing East Midlands. They also released a cute lyric video!

Just as you thought the festival season was over, the four-some made an appearance as 2Q Festival before embarking on a winter tour to finish off the year. The Cookie in Leicester was fortunate to hold their last show of 2017 as well as their first show of 2018!

February this year saw the release of their first of three acoustic releases, ‘Sparks’ which was followed by ‘Steel’ in March. They supported massive indie band Fickle Friends in March before going on tour with OUTLYA. April was a big month for the East Midlanders as they played a nine-date headline tour across England.

As the summer approached, they recorded a live session and had a chat with BBC Radio Lincolnshire and played their first ever show in Northern Ireland at Limelight Belfast in May. They finished off the month with two banging festival slots at HogSozzle and Dot To Dot Festivals.

Last week, they released their new single ‘Always the Same’ which received its first radio play on BBC Introducing Nottingham, then headlined Woodside Festival at the weekend.

The Tin Pigeons have two shows coming up at Mama Liz’s Voodoo Lounge in Stamford on 13th & 14th July as well as a slot at JoeFest lined up in August.

Frontmant Fraser provided us a little insight into their year: “This has been a crazy year! We have toured harder and longer than ever before, on the road with the likes of Fickle Friends and OUTLYA! We have been locked away in the studio and cannot wait for new releases coming up soon!”
