In the third and final part of our feature on the best that Reading and Leeds has to offer we look at the Alternative and Jack Rocks stages.
Losing things (phone, wallet, brain cells etc.) is all part of the festival experience, but if you take the time to venture to either the Alternative or Jack Rocks stages you may find that you find a new favourite band.
In the third and final part of our feature on the best that Reading and Leeds has to offer we look at the Alternative and Jack Rocks stages. These are two of the festival’s lesser known haunts, but seek them out and ye shall find talent.
The Alternative Stage:
Throughout the weekend the alternative stage plays host to the festival’s comedians; with the likes of Jonathan Pie, Katherine Ryan and Simon Amstell all featuring. On the Friday in Reading (Saturday in Leeds) giggles are temporarily suspended for gigs, or rather DJ sets, where bands take it in turns to play their favourite tracks. If you were ever intrigued as to what The Big Moon, Marika Hackman or Declan McKenna are loving right now – this is the place for you! Finally if their main stage set on the Friday left you wanting more, Blossoms are hosting Indie disco Propaganda on Sunday (Friday in Leeds).
