Back with latest single “Vicious”, this is The Trusted…

4 piece indie band from Southend On Sea, The Trusted portray a shining personality through their music. Being able to execute two prominent sides for a band can be tricky. Not so much for the band. With switching between mellow melodies to electrifying riffs in your face, it’s nice to see them enjoying what they do and my god, they’re good at it too. Reaching to getting their music played on radios, it’s great to see a band that put so much hard work into their music, get the recognition that they deserve. Back with new single “Vicious”, let’s take a ‘behind the scenes’ trip into the story and arrangement behind it.

Aesthetically influenced by bands such as Bloc Party, and Catfish & the Bottlemen, ‘Vicious’ is really quite the opposite of the meaning. Nevertheless, the track is filled with attitude and grit, but it 100% isn’t ‘vicious.” It’s one of those tracks that you travel into and don’t want to leave it because it’s so comforting. Before you know it, it’s over. Off their forthcoming EP due for release next month, it’s a strong contender that surely will be a bigger hit live with a rocking fanbase. Taking the subject on relationships and conflict, love and hate can sit together perfectly sometimes. Thrill of making a person feel both emotions is obviously going to be a rollercoaster ride. All depends on the person at the end of the day. It’s great to see the band taking their views on this and writing a well thought out track.

Lead vocalist, Tom, had this to say; ‘Vicious’ takes musical inspiration from everywhere and nowhere in particular. Over the last year we’ve worked really hard on evolving our sound. It’s kind of grown into itself it that makes sense. It’s evolved and grown organically into a good fit for us as a band.”
