You won’t want to wake up from Manorlady’s dreamy “Ready Go Fade Away”…
Three piece band, Manorlady, reside in Santa Cruz, CA. When you think of a family band, you probably think of the Von Trapp family, but no, think again. Manorlady are first and foremost a family. Twinkling harmonies and big loveable arrangements, they’re one to watch. With a strong discography behind them, they’re back with exciting single “Ready Go Fade Away.” Dreamy essences that remind me of the production on My Bloody Valentine’s ‘Loveless’, the family band deliver a transforming single that’s ageless.
Shoegaze can be a hard category to fall into. If you don’t get it right, it can end up sounding like noise. Every element throughout RGFA stands by the big arrangement coated with strong characteristics. A bold identifiable track that will sit at the front of my queue for a while. Here’s what the band had to say on the track; “I was in a pretty low spot with some work stuff and RGFA is about realizing that simply moving on was/is the best medicine. We shot the video during two really stellar back-to-back sunsets in Santa Cruz at the end of December 2018. We added the subtitles as a joke at first because we are super in love with karaoke, but we also liked this feeling like the lyrics were coming from nature’s perspective, basically giving two weeks notice. Seeing folks leave their trash in our beautiful beaches and mountains and desert so often makes this version relatable.”
