After releasing the track a few days ago via A Tree in a Field Records, we have the absolute delight of premiering the accompanying video for Zurich’s FAI BABA.
The track itself tells of a story which utilises musical and lyrical tenderness in such a way to give the ultimate emotional insight; something which is completely new to Fai Baba, striving for spiritual freedom.
Transcending his previous sound that was filled with sadness and melancholia, this new track is full of warmth, signifying him finding a new sense of peace with both his environment and his music.
The video, in all of its aquatic greatness, was directed by Tatum Rush: “The video for Fai’s new single was an underwater physical endurance adventure,” he explains, comparing it to The Revenant “only with less of a budget, but with our own personal Leo Dicaprio, Fai Baba, who faced the abyss of his demons in 5* water wearing only a tiny pair of speedos. It was shot in a secret spot in Valle Maggia, Ticino, which I won’t disclose in order to keep away any other aspiring video makers” Rush tells us. Sounds interesting, right?
Fai Baba will be coming over to the UK this October as part of a run of EU/UK tour dates in support of his new material… or should we say ‘ceremonies’ as that’s exactly how the man himself refers to his gigs.
Check out the new video exclusively above, and see below Fai Baba’s upcoming tour dates.
