Come and get wild with Cazzi Opeia as we premiere ‘Wild Ones’… oh, it’s also being premiered in space thanks to the Swedish Space Corporation (no, we’re not kidding)
Following the wonderfully surreal collaboration with K-Pop’s Jin X Jin on ‘Batman and Robin’, Sweden’s Cazzi Opeia has returned (this time solo) with another surreal offering. ‘Wild Ones’ released via Cosmos Music sees Opeia live up to her self-confessed reputation as a wild one.
Not only that, but the Swedish Space Corporation have leant a helping hand, agreeing to send the song towards the constellation Cassiopeia (mad, right?) This makes Opeia the first Swedish female artist to be broadcast in Space.
Gosta Gahm, an astronomer at Stockholm University, tells us: “The song will travel at the speed of light into outer space. The brightest star in Cassiopeia is called Caph and is 54 light years away from us. But we can imagine that the inhabitants of a planet orbiting Caph have built a super-large antenna and can listen to ’Wild Ones’. They’ll realize that they have found a new superstar and send a message back, which we’ll receive 108 years from now.”
Cazzi Opeia says: “Just the thought of everything we do not know yet is tremendously cool,” and she is set to illicit that same feeling of awe to anyone that crosses her path on her new voyage.
