Fancy some grime to spice up that summer barbecue? Maybe some hip-hop to cool you down? Either way, Born Music has got you covered.

Another week has gone by already. How time flies when you’re having fun in the sun, right? Well, since the weather’s been so good here in the UK we’ve hand-selected a couple of tunes that’ll be perfect for those bright summer days and warm, breezy nights.

1. MysDiggi Ft. Lloyd Brown (prod. fLako) – So Long

The sun starts to shine when MysDiggi starts to rhyme. Revamping a fan favourite from back in 2015, the London artist shares his brand new visuals for the laid-back, bouncy bop featuring reggae legend Llyod Brown. It’s more than just a little catchy, and it’ll have you walking in time to the beat as you stroll down the street.

2. C4 – Block and Delete

Birmingham native C4 shares his latest club scorcher, ‘Block and Delete.’ Channeling the same crowd-firing energy as the old school classics by the likes of BBK’s ‘Too Many Man’ and Gracious K’s ‘Migraine Skank,’ C4 takes this energy and brings a fresh new vibe in this club anthem for the social media generation. It’s raucous, bouncy and comes with a great sense of humour. Don’t like the track? Block. Don’t like this review? Delete.

3. Fliptrix – It’s Like That

Marking his return to the airwaves, High Focus legend Fliptrix shares his latest boom-bap masterpiece. It brings chilled-out summer vibes but laces them with a fiery charisma in classic Fliptrix style, and, as the video shows, it’s a track for any occasion; driving, cooking, or standing atop buildings. Whatever floats your boat.

4. The Mouse Outfit feat. Kinkai – Jagged Tooth Crook

Manchester outfit The Mouse Outfit shared their third studio album Jagged Tooth Crook last friday; a solid seventeen track offering that’s full of summer anthems, laid-back chillers and ear-worm masterpieces, and the title track can probably be filed under all three. Bass-heavy beats and floating synths ebb and flow in and out of earshot as fellow Manchester native KinKai weaves his lyricism seamlessly atop the soundscape. Sit back, relax, and take a listen.

5. SBK, Audio Slugs – Snakes

It’s time to turn up the levels a bit with this next track. Hertfordshire’s SBK made his impressive debut when he was just 14 on SBTV, now 16, and in the midst of his GCSE studies, the young MC shows just why he’s one to watch out for this year and beyond. Teaming up with producer Audio Slugs (who’s produced for the likes of Wrigz and BBK’s Jammer) the duo go hard and heavy on their latest single, ‘Snakes.’
