You can’t fault Fault’s debut single ‘Should’ve Been’
FFO: POND, Foals, Made In Japan
Released ahead of their self-titled EP dropping on 1st June, driving rhythmic grooves and ethereal textures combine in Faults’ debut single ‘Should’ve Been.’ It’s a lush production, showcasing an already fully-fledged sound from the Toronto newcomers.
If ‘art-rock’s the game, it definitely fits the bill, bringing in elements of shoegaze with the meandering bass runs and intricate percussion that’s as changeable as the sharp guitar lines that weave in and out of ear-shot. It’s as if contemporary indie-rock met up with dreampop in a hazy nightclub at 3am; a real space-rock jam that’s got some tasty riffs and ripping solos towards the end.
