The Harriets drop their high energy, DIY new single ‘Harry’
FFO: The Assist, RedFaces
Leeds-based power pop duo The Harriets have released ‘Harry’, a track so full of energy you’ll need a sit down afterwards. Daniel Parker-Smith and Ben Schrodel met at a party in Leeds and bonded over a similar music taste and the fact they were both songwriters in search of a band. The Harriets was born as a means of collaborating on existing songs as well as writing new ones. ‘Harry’ is a perfect example of The Harriets’ high energy ideology, incorporating a live, jangly sound into their music, steering away from the over-produced tracks you hear all too often in the charts. Their DIY musical process is admirable and only big things are sure to be ahead of this young duo. The Harriets are definitely ones to watch.
