Everyone loves to discover that next great pop track, but isn’t it always a welcome find when it arrives hand-in-hand with deeper meaning?
With their debut single ‘What’s A Girl To Do?’, So Sensitive offer a glimpse into the introspective musing of their latest project. Birthed from the ashes of the experimental outfit Muscle and Marrow, the duo – namely Kira Clark and Keith McGraw – are on a mission to deconstruct pop and imbue it with examinations of a variety of personal relationships, sexual identity, obsession and sacrifice.
In ‘What’s A Girl To Do?’, Clark highlights a toxic relationship between a father and daughter, control and expectation in her disarmingly soothing vocal. Mixed with smatterings of synth and understated beats and So Sensitive are on to a winner.
‘What’s A Girl To Do?’ is available now. Their debut album Bedroom Drama is released August 2nd via Soft Boy Songs.
