Lifelong friends Ethan and Connor found their own sound after playing in bands at an early age and soon joined forces to begin working on their new journey. After recruiting Ethan’s brother, Ellis on bass and Matt on drums, roves was born. Now they’re ready to take on the indie scene with their fantastic debut ‘Always’.

Channelling memories of broken relationships, this brilliant outfit create ambient bubbles of heartbreaking melancholia bursting with every crash of those huge cymbals, yielding a production as well refined as the most established bands to date. roves immediately jump into feelings of sorrow with the soul crushing line “how can I get back to where we started, back to days alone together in the sun”, and although it may seem like a composition built solely around angst, there’s a certain melodic quality to the euphoric, erupting melodies which provide a vast release of catharsis.

Catch roves supporting The Tin Pigeons at The Monarch, Camden on 18th April and at a homecoming show at the Rising Sun Arts Centre on 29th June. The band will announce more dates soon.
