Lunarcy bring a dash of post-punk ‘Lunarcy’ with their debut single
FFO: King Krule, Wire
Need to spice up your life with a little bit of ‘Lunarcy?’ The Bristol-based band debut their chaotic but controlled sound with a new self-titled single.
Bringing both down-to-earth grit and passionate punk personality, Lunarcy blend reverb-drenched shoegaze with a certain artistic and experimental intricacy. As such, ‘Lunarcy’ doesn’t just bring the pure noise aesthetic so often found within the shoegaze repertoire; there’s more moody melody and noir songcraft at play, masked and shrouded beneath the taut guitarwork and rolling beats.
In short, it’s an eclectic sound that manages to nod to the classic post-punk sound whilst keeping the genre undeniably fresh.
