You might not recognise the name Hunger, but you may find that you’re more familiar with their music than you think.

They recently secured a good deal of attention from their former release ‘Amused’ being featured on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why soundtrack.

‘Light It Up’ sees them continue on with that anthemic signature sound of indie pop infectiousness. A full force track that builds and builds exploding into an emotive peak that rounds off with a choir of voices bringing all of the emotions together.

Speaking on the track they’ve explained that Light It Up’ is about adventures, moments and memories we’ve experienced and still want to experience in our lives. It’s an anthem for going out and to live and experience life and its freedoms. We wrote and recorded the song in a little hut in the Austrian alps. The ‘gospel choir’ halfway through the song was recorded in a tiny kitchen and is basically just the three of us and our producer singing in hundreds of tracks.”
