Distortion meets disco on Fizzy Blood‘s latest single ‘Strangers’. The second taste of upcoming EP Pink Magic, it marks a self-described “transition into a new era as a band…a statement of intent”. At Born, we can safely say it doesn’t disappoint. Beginning with a carefully crafted synth and sinister guitar double act, ‘Strangers’ brings the band’s swagger to the dancefloor. The bass is heavy, the rhythm foot-tapping, and the vocal harmonies in verse two bear the production imprint of Alex Newport (Bloc Party, Tigercub, The Mars Volta).

Fizzy Blood are set to release their third EP Pink Magic on 14th September. You can catch the band live at Reading and Leeds Festival (24th-26th Aug) and at the following headline shows, don’t miss out!

19th Sep – Brudenell Games Room, Leeds
21st Sep – Boston Music Room, London
