Clay Priskorn is here with your ‘Favourite Song’
FFO: Beck, Kevin Morby
Label: 1192 Productions
Opening with a greater electronic influence than the psychedelic-folk vibe of previous single ‘Dreams’, ‘Favourite Song’ sees Clay Priskorn embark into new territory. The smoothness of his falsetto voice contrasts the experimental soundcape generated in the introduction and the abrasive noise rock guitar of the chorus. A highlight has to be the “you don’t see me, I see you” bridge which strips the track down to simple drums and vocal harmonies and shows an artist who can play it both loud and complex as well as quiet and stripped back, without losing any of the emotional depth.
