Chemical plant worker by day, indie-folk rockstar by night, Connecticut artist Johnny Frank lives
Location: Connecticut, United States
FFO: Tame Impala, Aaron Taos
Label: Clam Club
Connecticut-born singer-songwriter Johnny Frank is chemical-processing plant worker by day, but by night, Frank assumes his rightful position as rocks next big star. Bringing an eclectic mesh of musical style, fusing ambient synth, echoing vocals and singing-blues electric guitar, Frank’s track ‘Jenny’ from debut EP ‘Johnny Frank Lives’ sounds like an intriguing, awesome mix of Bruce Springsteen and Tame Impala.
About the track, multi-instrumentalist Johnny Frank says ‘The song Jenny is a story of unrequited love. It focuses on the pining and obsessive rumination that happens after a relationship and the eventual need to move on. The video takes a tangent to this idea and focuses on a man who had committed too much to a passionless relationship and his demons eventually get the best of him.”
