Over 150 bands have been announced for the eighth edition of FOCUS Wales in May.

The eighth edition of the annual, not-for-profit, multi-venue FOCUS Wales is set to return between 10th-12th May in Wrexham, North Wales. The festival primarily focuses on emerging Welsh talent, however, the lineup also consists of established and international acts, including acts from Australia, Canada, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Korea, the Netherlands, Sweden and the USA.

So far, FOCUS Wales have remarkably announced over 150 eclectic bands including folk/blues band This is the Kit, London alternative four-piece Gengahr, minimalist musician Bill Ryder-Jones, Northern artist Jane Weaver, Welsh band 9Bach and folk singer Kate Rusby.

As well as live music, the festival will feature art collections and performances, films, and stand-up comedy performances from the emerging stand-up scene. Furthermore, the festival will present industry panels and discussions featuring experts from all sectors of the industry.

After a record attendance in 2017, the festival team are hoping to see over 8000 visitors, which is no surprise as the schedule includes 20 interactive session and over 200 bands across 20 stages.
