So, unless you’ve been hiding under a rock this year, you’ll know that we host a new music, gig night at The Finsbury in London called Future Cuts, it’s free entry, every month because we love you all. This months quality filled night originally consisted of Keroscene, White Hart, and Fliiis. Unfortunately, Keroscene had to pull out of the performance, but luckily for you (and us), our beloved Fabrics have agreed to step in. Want to know why you should be excited about this? Read out Lil’ chat with them below.

Hey! For those who haven’t listened to you yet, how would you describe your sound?

Indie, surfy dancey-ish.

How did you come to be in a band together/how did you get into music?

We’ve been playing music together since college and from that, we decided to give the band thing a go.

Earlier this year you released your debut video for track ‘Fiction’, how was the process of creating this music video, was you involved much?

So we worked with Wailing Banshee on creating the video and we had a laugh shooting it in our local venue back home in Basingstoke. A lot of our friends featured as extras in the video so it was a laugh.

Do you think music videos still have a place in the music industry today?

We grew up watching MTV and Kerrang, what kinda questions that? 😉 Na definitely, tells the story of the song.

Any plans for any more music videos?

We’re currently in the process of filming the video for our upcoming single ‘Claws’.

How was your headline show at the Tooting Tram and Social? How did it compare to the support shows you’ve had?

Yeah, it was a great venue and it was cool to play to a new crowd. We’d love to play there again.

You’ve recently played with Tom Lumley and Habitats, tell us a bit about how that went?

Yeah, it was really cool to play with Tom, really like his sound. It’s always great to play with Habitats. They’re pals of ours so it was good to get everyone down and have a good night.

What/who influences/inspirations would you say play a part in the creation of your music?

Foals, The Black Keys, Neil Young and Matt Corby.

Any festival plans?

We’re planning on sneaking into Glasto…

What’s next for Fabrics?

So we’re just starting a mini-tour, with a couple of local dates to support the release of our new single ‘Claws’ which is out on Saturday 10th June! We’re also just finishing up our debut EP which is set to be released later on this year.
