One of the most exciting day festivals in London has landed. We have been absolutely blown away by the sheer quality of the CloseUp Festival line up that we’ve taken over their Emerge playlist, showcasing the bet tracks from the acts on their line up and we’ve also put together five acts that you 100% can NOT miss and why.

Ekkah

If you enjoy upbeat, funky, pop music that’s pretty damn smooth and will have you up and dancing in no time at all, then this is the duo for you. Self describing their music as Post Disco 80s R’n’B, you’re certainly in for a treat here, keep an eye out for their groovy, synchronised dancing as well…

Marsicans

Indie pop with an edge, shining through the Leeds music scene, forcing their way into the ears of many up and down the country. We dare you to think of a better scenario than listening to ‘Friends’ live, with your friends…

Glass Peaks

This three piece from Kent have seemingly appeared out of nowhere and quickly garnered a LOT of attention. It’s not difficult to understand why once you listen to their driving indie beats and stand to attention vocals. They have a pretty darn high reputation regarding their live show, too, so do yourself a favour and see for yourself what the fuss is all about.

Jerry Williams

For someone who self-releases and co-produces all her music, Jerry Williams has got a busy summer ahead of her. Her EP ‘Let’s Just Forget It’ introduced us to the wondrous talent of hers. The Portsmouth Indie pop singer-songwriter is headlining the ‘Stripped Back’ stage so you can expect something special from her in Shoreditch.

KYKO

Some indie pop will be perfect to get you into the summer mood and KYKO is just the ticket. Singer songwriter and multi-instruments player, Scott AKA KYKO’s EP ‘Wildlife’ has received massive buzz online especially with lead track, ‘Horizon’. You can be sure that once you see KYKO you’ll have a plethora of new tracks for your summer playlist.
