A band seriously talented in churning out high quality, infectious indie tracks. If they haven’t made the latter half of your 2017, then be prepared to see a whole lot of them in 2018.

Happy Boxing Day! We had a bit of a festive chat with Childcare, a band that have well and truly won us over with stellar tracks such as ‘Kiss?’, ‘Dust’ and not to mention recent banger ‘Getting Over You (By Dressing Up Like You)’… it’s been great, see what else they’ve been up to this year below.

What have been your most memorable moments of 2017?

Breaking Rich’s ribs in a boxing match (22/11), getting a basic grasp on Marxism (17/12)

 

What’s your album of the year?

Dirty Projectors – Dirty Projectors.

 

What was the best gig (besides your own) that you’ve been to this year?

Mystery Jets when they played Radlands in full.

 

Where will you be this Christmas and New Year?

In a state of somber reflection.

 

What’s your favourite thing to eat or drink at Christmas?

Pizza, it’s just delicious.

 

What’s the best and worst Christmas present you’ve ever received?

Best – Red Alert 2 computer game, aged 12. Worst – plastic steering wheel to put iphone into for driving games, aged 22

 

Do you have any resolutions for 2018?

Go to therapy, have an orgy, have a gong bath, experience an immersion tank. At the same time.

 

What is one thing you hope does not continue into 2018?

My herpes flare-ups.

 

What album are you hoping for/looking forward to the most from 2018?

Maybe, but it would have to be the right sort of jam.

 

What band/act do you think we should keep our eyes on in 2018?

Well they’re already on their way up but I think Pumarosa might be the best band in the country right now.
