Live at Leeds 2018 is set to be massive as The Vaccines, Superorganism and Cabbage join the bill alongside Circa Waves and The Horrors.
There’s still a few more months to go until Live At Leeds 2018, taking place on Saturday 5th May, and the line-up is already looking huge. Indie-rock favourites The Vaccines are on the bill, joining already listed The Horrors, The Magic Gang and Circa Waves, and by the sounds of it are already excited:
“Whether at our own shows or at the festivals, Leeds has proved itself time and time again to be one of the best audiences in the world. We really mean that. It was the first chants of ‘Yorkshire!’ in 2011 that made us feel like we’d truly arrived. Having spent most of last year living in Yorkshire too, and recording our new album there, this will also be somewhat of a homecoming – even if only in our heads. We can’t wait.”
Matching the big names with fresh new artists, joining them will be the super-eight Superorganism, following the release of their debut album on the 2nd March. Also on the bill are the riotously righteous IDLES, neo post-punks Cabbage, Nadine Shah, The XCERTS, plus Bad Sounds, Demob Happy, Sea Girls, The Night Café and Leeds natives Fizzy Blood.
The one-day city festival will also play host to singer-songwriter Rae Morris, who praises the enthusiasm of Live At Leeds festival goers: “I first played Live at Leeds in 2012 so I’m super happy to be returning again with new music. So many of my first gigging experiences happened around Leeds, with it being one of the closest cities to Blackpool where I grew up. It’s a special place and audiences are always amazingly enthusiastic which I love.”
